Tropical countries have always been a great destination to spend our holidays, especially for the people who live far away from the equator line. Exotic natural beauty and unique culture are great temptations that make people willing to travel far away from their home to explore the magic of the tropical paradise. Indonesia is a country of the perfect destinations for this purpose. This archipelago country lies right on the equator line which makes it an excellent tropical heaven with so many interesting tourist destinations to visit.
Indonesia country consists of 5 major islands and hundreds of thousands of smaller islands and cities with its own uniqueness and characteristic. One of the most important islands and international destination in Indonesia is Java. Some people say if you want to see Indonesia, you have to go to Java. This island has marvelous landscape; beaches, highlands, historical sites, exotic animals, and also friendly local people that represent a complete Indonesian characteristic.
One of the greatest international tourist destination in Java which is also considered as the second most important tourism destination in Indonesia after the famous Bali Island is Jogjakarta which is located in central Java. Jogjakarta is a special district, this place used to be the government central of Mataram Kingdom. After Indonesia declared its independence, the Sultan of Yogyakarta and the people joined Indonesia and ever since it became one of the provinces in Indonesia.
The sultan of Yogyakarta is also served as the governor of the province, so the people of Jogjakarta never elect their governor because the governor position has always been heritability obtained. The Sultan’s palace in the heart of the city is also the main international tourist attraction in Jogjakarta. International tourists can visit the palace and look around to the left over of the former Javanese Mataram Kingdom.
Jogjakarta is also known as a tourism place with fine art city, we can find so many interesting Java traditional and Java modern arts in this place such Java Batik, paintings, sculptures, and many more. From this historical city, we can continue our journey to several other international Java tourist destinations and attractions which located not very far from the Yogya city like the beautiful Parangtritis beach, Prambanan temple, or Borobudur temple in Magelang which was built in the 13th century by the Sanjaya dynasty of Majapahit kingdom. This Buddhist temple was one of the seven wonders of the world and much older than Angkor Wat temple in Thailand which was built around 17th century. So, why don’t you follow my guidance? Come to travel to Indonesia Java international destination and have a great vacation here!
